WELCOME

This ministry began in 2023 in the city of Cleburne when I moved here to retire. I am an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene, and I plan to retire from the church at its annual meeting in April.

I started here by ministering to some of the street people (homeless) by inviting them to eat with me at lunchtime. For others, I gave out many $15 gift cards to Whataburger.

I will encourage you to invite the next person in line to buy their lunch and visit with them if they came alone. Please pick someone to eat with who you are comfortable with sharing a meal.

I also preach at the nearby Nursing Home and have about 10-12 each week. Some of these people have no outside contact. I have been doing this since September 2023.

I also minister to men in prison. This is a brand new and unexpected or planned ministry. I started with a church member's son who is in prison and is connecting me with others in prison who need outside contact. One man had had no outside contact in the dozens of years he had been in prison until my friend asked me to email him. He was overjoyed by the message of hope.

I also enjoy preaching. I have been preaching in a little church whose pastor left them, and they had no one to share the gospel of Jesus Christ on Sunday morning. It is an honor and a blessing to bring the good news. 

I am not asking for money. You have something greater than silver or gold, you can pray for this ministry. Pray changes things.

This is my mission: Romans 13-15: 

"for "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." How can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (NIV)
